AR-Marker Device Pose Estimation

If marked with the SYSCLS ARMARKER GEO classification, AR-Markers can be used for calculating the device pose once they are detected in the POI-View (see AR-Marker). Keep in mind that the AR-Marker has to be configured properly (i.e. configuration has to correlate with the physical pose of the AR-Marker) and the camera of the mobile device has to be calibrated (see Camera Calibration).

Characteristics

      •	Provides position and orientation in world coordinate system.
      •	Maximum pose errors of 0,1m in position and 2° in orientation estimation.
      •	Low standard deviation, jitter is hardly noticeable.
      •	The pose can be updated with roughly 10Hz, depending on the computational capacities of the mobile device.
      •	Pose estimation is not possible if AR-Markers are not within the field of view of the mobile device´s camera.
      •	Requires manual installation effort.
      •	Requires a calibrated camera.
